Skip Navigation Doing a Project at Fort Harrison?

Process

Once you have acquired property at Fort Harrison, a project must first be approved by the Architectural Review Commission (ARC) of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority. The Commission’s purpose is to ensure the integrity of the Master Implementation Strategy (MIS) of the FHRA.

All proposed development projects at Fort Harrison must have a letter of approval from the FHRA before the City of Lawrence or the City of Indianapolis will grant an improvement permit. Please note that a portion of the FHRA area is also designated a state historic preservation district. If a project is proposed for this area, it requires an additional review by the State of Indiana Historic Architect at the Department of Natural Resources.
